Earl Cole is the Founder & Chairman of Perthes Kids Foundation. The former Perthes patient, Advertising Executive and winner of Survivor - Fiji (on CBS Television), earned his Business degree at the University of Washington, studied Entrepreneurship at Harvard Business School, and Nonprofit Leadership at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He runs the day-to-day operations for Perthes Kids Foundation and is the Executive Director of Camp Perthes International (USA, Australia, UK and Spain), continuing his advocacy in raising awareness, funds for research, education and support for families dealing with Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease around the world.
Julie Woods became involved with Perthes Disease through her now 14 year old son who was diagnosed with bilateral Perthes at the age of four and a half. Julie lives in Sydney where her son is now actively engaged in soccer, basketball, swimming and the Rural Fire Service. She also acts as an administrator on the Perthes Disease Support Group Australia Facebook page which aims to informally support people through all stages of their journey with Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease, and the Camp Perthes Australia Facebook page.
Heather Cordingley is the youngest director on board of Perthes Kids Foundation Australia & New Zealand. Heather was diagnosed with Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease when she was 11 years old and recently underwent a total hip replacement in October 2019. Heather enjoys and excels at music and design and handles much of our social media content.
Shelley Cole, PharmD, is EVP of Perthes Kids Foundation and Lead Clinical Pharmacist at Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy, Inc. She studied Sociology and Biology at the University of California-Irvine and earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy at University of the Pacific - Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She is a licensed pharmacist dedicated to providing top-quality patient care and pharmacy services, experienced business professional and healthcare advocate, specialising in Clinical Oncology, Hepatitis, Rheumatology, Dermatology and other inflammatory diseases. She has been with Perthes Kids Foundation since its inception and is in charge of administering all prescription drugs and medications for children with Perthes disease at Perthes Kids Foundation’s various camp programs, as well as, counseling parents on pain management medications.
